U-Shaped Sofas, Made to Fit Your Room

Your sofa should fit YOUR home. A U-shaped sofa gives seating on three sides, so people sit facing each other rather than in a straight line. That layout suits family rooms and open-plan living, where the sofa has to hold conversation, television and a walkway at the same time.

A shop-floor U-shape is cut to a catalogue size. Ours is not. We build U-shaped sofas in-house in South Wales to the wall run you have and the depth you can spare. You send centimetres. We cut the frame to those numbers.

Family rooms often need a long back against one wall, then two returns that hold the rest of the seating. Open-plan rooms need the same idea with more air around the piece, so people can walk the kitchen without clipping an arm. Either way, the U has to match the room, not the other way round.

Measure in centimetres. Take the full length of the wall the back will sit against, then each return, then the depth into the room. Rough numbers are fine to start. We confirm everything on a drawing before anything is cut. Full measuring steps sit on the made to measure sofas page.

Doorways and stairs matter on a large U-shape. Measure the way in: door width, hallway width, and any tight turn on the stairs. Write those numbers next to the room sizes when you enquire.

Comfort is separate from the cloth. Feather is a softer dressed feel. Fibre is firmer support. Foam holds the shape. Say which you want when you send the sizes.
